Installation Instructions

These instructions assume that you are running Windows 2000/XP and have installed Dreamweaver MX 2004 or later.

Facelets Tools Community Edition

Facelets Tools Community Edition is designed for standalone use in Dreamweaver, but is also fully compatible with JSFToolbox for Dreamweaver.

Please Note: To render Facelets pages in Dreamweaver's Design View, you need to install JSFToolbox 1.1 for Dreamweaver (or later) in addition to Facelets Tools Community Edition or Facelets Tools Professional.

Facelets Tools Professional Edition

Facelets Tools Professional is designed to integrate completely with JSFToolbox for Dreamweaver. This edition includes all the features of Facelets Tools Community Edition and adds the following features to Dreamweaver:

Installing the Software

The first step to getting started with Facelets Tools is to install the software using the Macromedia Extension Manager (see screenshot below). You can launch the Extension Manager from Start > Program Files > Macromedia menu.

Then choose File > Install Extension and browse to the JSFToolbox extension file that you downloaded. Once you have completed the installation procedure, you can launch Dreamweaver and start using Facelets Tools.
