Installation Instructions

These instructions assume that you are running Windows 2000/XP and have installed Dreamweaver MX 2004 or later.

SeamTools Community Edition

SeamTools Community Edition is designed for standalone use in Dreamweaver, but is also fully compatible with JSFToolbox for Dreamweaver. It is a lightweight, standalone version of the extension.

  • Drag-and-drop tag toolbars for Seam
  • Tag chooser dialogs for Seam

SeamTools Professional Edition

SeamTools Professional Edition is designed to integrate completely with JSFToolbox for Dreamweaver. This edition contains all the features of SeamTools Community Edition and much more, including:

  • Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB) component integration
  • Seam tag library visualization and management
  • Seam context variables in JSF EL code hints
  • Seam tag inspectors with data-bound controls

Installing the Software

The first step to getting started with SeamTools for Dreamweaver is to install the software using the Extension Manager (see screenshot below). You can launch the Extension Manager from Start > Program Files > Macromedia menu.
