10. Tomahawk Tag Reference

The t:messages tag extends the JSF h:messages tag. It supports conditional rendering based on user roles and supports additional formatting options.

binding	String

The value-binding expression linking this component tag to a backing bean property.

detailFormat	String

The detailFormat attribute allows you to customize the appearance of the detail text message rendered for this component. It defines the pattern used to format the message. If the component associated with this message has a label, then the label is included in the formatted message string. For example: "The input you have entered for {1} is incorrect: {0}"

dir	String

The dir attribute is a standard HTML attribute that overrides the default text directionality for this component. The values accepted for this component are "LTR" (left-to-right) and "RTL" (right-to-left).

enabledOnUserRole	String

The enabledOnUserRole attribute determines if this component will be rendered normally or not depending on the user's roles.

errorClass	String

The errorClass attribute sets the CSS style class to apply to a message with a severity level of "ERROR".

errorStyle	String

The errorStyle attribute sets the CSS style or styles to apply to a message with a severity level of "ERROR".

fatalClass	String

The fatalClass attribute sets the CSS style class to apply to a message with a severity level of "FATAL".

fatalStyle	String

The fatalStyle attribute sets the CSS style or styles to apply to a message with a severity level of "FATAL".

forceId	String

The forceId attribute expects a boolean value, that when set to true, forces the tag to render its ID exactly as specified in the ID attribute. This allows you to apply CSS styles to the tag and to reference it in JavaScript by ID, which is typically not possible using the default JSF component ID naming system. This attribute is false by default.

forceIdIndex	String

The forceIdIndex attribute effects the component ID name when this component is rendered at runtime. It expects a boolean value that, when true, causes the component to display an index number in its ID value if the component is in a list. It has a default value of true.

forceSpan	String

The forceSpan attribute displays an empty span element if its value is true.

globalOnly	String

The globalOnly attribute expects a boolean value that, when true, indicates that only global messages (without an associated component) should be displayed by this tag.

globalSummaryFormat	String

The globalSummaryFormat attribute specifies the format string to be used for rendering global messages. If it is not defined, the summaryFormat pattern is used instead.

id	String

The unique identifier value for this component. The value must be unique within the closest naming container.

infoClass	String

The infoClass attribute sets the CSS style class to apply to a message with a severity level of "INFO".

infoStyle	String

The infoStyle attribute sets the CSS style or styles to apply to a message with a severity level of "INFO".

lang	String

The lang attribute is a standard HTML attribute that sets the code describing the language to be used in the markup generated by this component.

onclick	String

The onclick attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is clicked over this element.

ondblclick	String

The ondblclick attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is double-clicked over this element.

onkeydown	String

The onkeydown attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when a key is pressed down over this element.

onkeypress	String

The onkeypress attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when a key is pressed and released over this element.

onkeyup	String

The onkeyup attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when a key is released over this element.

onmousedown	String

The onmousedown attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is pressed down over this element.

onmousemove	String

The onmousemove attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is moved within this element.

onmouseout	String

The onmouseout attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is moved away from this element.

onmouseover	String

The onmouseover attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse pointer is moved onto this element.

onmouseup	String

The onmouseup attribute sets the JavaScript code to execute when the mouse button is released over this element.

rendered	String

A value-binding expression that evaluates to a Boolean condition indicating if this component should be rendered.

replaceIdWithLabel	String

The replaceIdWithLabel attribute expects a boolean value that, when true, causes the ID string of this component to be replaced with the component's label in validation messages. The default value is true.

showDetail	String

The showDetail attribute is a boolean flag indicating whether the detail part of the message should be included. The default value is "true".

showSummary	String

The showSummary attribute is a boolean flag indicating whether the summary part of the message should be included. The default value is "false".

style	String

The style attribute sets the CSS style definition to be applied to this component when it is rendered.

styleClass	String

The styleClass attribute sets the CSS class to apply to this component when it is rendered.

summaryFormat	String

The summaryFormat attribute allows you to customize the appearance of the summary text rendered for this component. It defines the pattern used to format the message. If the component associated with this message has a label, then the label is included in the formatted message string. For example: "The input you have entered for {1} is incorrect: {0}"

title	String

The title attribute is a standard HTML attribute that sets the tooltip text to display for the rendered component.

visibleOnUserRole	String

The visibleOnUserRole attribute determines if this component will be visible or not depending on the user's roles.

warnClass	String

The warnClass attribute sets the CSS style class to apply to a message with a severity level of "WARN".

warnStyle	String

The warnStyle attribute sets the CSS style or styles to apply to a message with a severity level of "WARN".
